Description |
The career of Charleston native, Lee Savage, spanned several decades. His work is included in the collections of some of the most prominent museums in the country. His realistic, and sometimes humorous portraits of the 1980s depict both famous celebrities and common people. He died in 1998 in a New York nursing home from Alzheimer's disease after battling with it for 6 years. |
