Jim Gibson is a native of West Virginia who credits his family, friends, students and colleagues for influencing his art. "My blue collar background has instilled in me a strong work ethic contributing to the continued honing of my craftsmanship, drawing skills, and design fundmentals." Retired from Middle Tennessee State University where he taught sculpture for 30 years, Gibson was granted the title of Professor Emeritus in 2000. He continues to produce and exhibit his work. |
