Description |
Raymond McNamara was born in Chicago in 1923. He received a Bachelor of Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA from the University of Michigan. He went on to complete further graduate art work at Wayne State University. He taught in public schools for fourteen years before eventually accepting a position at West Virginia State College. Throughout his studies he became skilled in drawing, painting, and printmaking. The subject of his work is often that of dreams where the people come out of a human past rather than the past of himself, the artist. |
