Ellie Schaul is a West Virginia painter. Ellie Schaul's (b. 1936, Cambridge, MA) art education began at the Boston Museum of Fine Art at the age of 9. She attended Parson's School of Design, NYC, and through the years, continued her studies with noted American artists Fred Messersmith, Elliot O'Hara, Wolf Khan, Janet Fish, Sandy Skogland, Christopher Brown, and Selina Trieff. Since 1965 her work has been shown in numerous Huntington Museum of Art 180/280 exhibitions, Allied Artist of West Virginia annuals and WV Juried exhibitions. Her work has been included in exhibitions at the Erie Art Museum, Pa. Tampa Museum of Art, Fl, Butler Museum of American Art, OH, Marietta College, OH, West Virginia University, Rayburn Office Building, DC, the Juliet Art Museum at the Clay Center, the Parkersburg Art Center and the American Embassy, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her work may be found in the permanent collection of the Juliet Art Museum at the Clay Center, the Huntington Museum of Art, the University of Charleston as well as many private and corporate collections. |
